Biography
 
  Renowned film actress known for her contributions to the Hong Kong entertainment industry. She studied at St. Paul Primary School in Hong Kong before moving with her family to the UK at the age of 8, where she spent her youth in Kent, England. After graduating from high school, she worked as a bookstore clerk in London.

In 1982, Cheung was discovered by scouts from an advertising company during her vacation in Hong Kong, and she began working as a part-time model. Her talent and beauty caught the attention of the entertainment industry, and in 1983, she participated in the "Miss Hong Kong Beauty Pageant" where she won the runner-up title and "Miss Photogenic" award, marking her entry into showbiz. The same year, she represented Hong Kong in the "Miss World Beauty Pageant" held in the United Kingdom, where she was selected as one of the top 15 contestants.

Cheung was subsequently signed to a contract by TVB, and in 1984, she made her acting debut in the TV series "Draw a Rainbow". Her performance in the show garnered attention from director Wang Jing, who invited her to star in the comedy movie "The Frog Prince", marking her screen debut.

Since then, Cheung's career has been characterized by her versatility and talent as an actress. She has appeared in numerous films and TV series, earning critical acclaim for her performances. Her dedication to her craft and ability to portray diverse characters with depth and authenticity have made her a respected figure in the industry.

Cheung has received awards throughout her career, recognizing her outstanding contributions to the world of cinema. Her work has gained international recognition, and she has been praised for her performances in various genres, including drama, comedy, action, and romance.
