Question: ETERNAL LOVE (1966)

Why the english title of this Lee Tit's drama contains the word (Colour) after the title? I have the vcd, the chinese characters (七彩胡不歸) are all right. I wonder if this english title is correct...

I noticed that another entry have the same problem with the english title: The Swinging Bunch (Colour) (1969).

My theory: "Love Eterne" is the first version in (Eastman)color of a famous chinese opera written by Feng Zhifen (馮志芬) entitled "Hu Bu Gui" (胡不歸) [in the west "Why Not Return" or "Why Don't You Return?"]. The first film versions of that story are from 1940, 1947 and 1951. You may note that the 1952 version is entitled "Why Not Return? (Musical)" [that's a clue]

The first symbols of both titles (七彩) mean "color version" or something...
