--------------------------------------------------------------------
Some facts about IFD movies:

- For some reason most people think that all of IFD/Filmark movies were directed by Godfrey Ho, which is completely not true. He was the first director on IFD, but later they were doing too much movies, so other directors were invited as well. IFD and Filmark were rivals, so Godfrey Ho didn't direct movies for Filmark.
- Godfrey Ho is credited as Godfrey Ho and sometimes as Benny Ho (usually as screenplay writer or script developer). All the other names are not Godfrey Ho.
- Philip Ko in credits - is Phillip Ko Fei (as actor, director and action director)
- Charles Lee in credits - is director Lee Chiu (2) (as director)
- Donald Kong in credits - is Chiang Tao (aka Kong Do) (as actor and action director)
- Raymond Chang or Raymond Cheung in credits - is Cheung Hoi (1) (as cinematographer)
- John Cheung in credits - is John Cheung Ng-Long (as actor and action director)
- On-screen copyright year is shown in roman numbers and actually lists one year AFTER the release. That means, if the movie was made and released in 1985, on-screen year will be MCMLXXXVI (1986). Exceptions - the first cut-and-paste movies ("Mission thunderbolt" and "Majestic thunderbolt")
- In credits asian names were usually "westernized" to give the movie more western look, for example Ma Sha was usually credited as Tattooer Ma.
- In credits gweilo actors were sometimes credited under pseudonyms - it was made in order to avoid paying taxes, because most of them weren't HK citizens and had simple tourist visas. Paulo Tocha was later credited as Bruce Stallion due to his resemblance to Sylvester Stallone.

Good work.

GOLDEN NINJA WARRIOR: added Tong Ga-Kuen

"Ninja operation 6: Champion on fire" is that movie;

THE NINJA SHOWDOWN is that one:

I did both cast pages with the ninja edits - without images of the new ninja scenes.

19)Ninja operation 4: Thunderbolt angels

Added 6 actors I recognized in the movie.

The original movie could be that one:

Shella Lau = Lau Shui-Kei?
Nancy Yeh = Yeh Lan-Hsiang?

But the year 1989 must be wrong.

So a quick question here... for the IFD/Filmark cut/paste version, are we uploading actor/actress IDs for only the new footage? Or all actors in the film no matter if they are new or original film?

THE RETURN is the original film of THUNDERBOLT ANGELS. Another proof is now that the screen shots of the 3 actors on the VCD cover of THE RETURN are all taken from scenes in the original movie used for THUNDERBOLT ANGELS.

The year 1989 is listed at the TAIWANESE MOVIE DATABASE - but the movie looks to be made around 1984.

Added cast page to THE RETURN (1989):

http://www.hkmdb.com/db/movies/images.m ... ay_set=eng

I used the ninja edit THUNDERBOLT ANGELS - but I ignored all new footage (like I did it with my cast pages of FURY IN STORM and TIAN ZHUANG A GE).

So a quick question here... for the IFD/Filmark cut/paste version, are we uploading actor/actress IDs for only the new footage? Or all actors in the film no matter if they are new or original film?

I personally try to upload only actors from the new footage, in order to identify them (exceptions - "Platoon the warriors" and "Ninja operation 7"), but it will be good if all the actors from both footages will be added (but, it is desirable to mark, who's from old and who's from new footage).

THE RETURN is the original film of THUNDERBOLT ANGELS. Another proof is now that the screen shots of the 3 actors on the VCD cover of THE RETURN are all taken from scenes in the original movie used for THUNDERBOLT ANGELS.

Thank you! I'll set it soon :)

I don't think "Red Rattlesnake" is the original movie of "Majestic thunderbolt". I was the one who added "Rattlesnake" to DB. Haven't seen it, but have seen "Thunderbolt" and it looks completely different. The image that appears on both VHS cover of "Thunderbolt" and on poster of "Rattlesnake" - doesn't appear in "Thunderbolt" in the movie itself. But I believe, "Red Rattlesnake" and original of "Majestic thunderbolt" were made at the same time with the same cast, crew and production company.

Did (and still doing) updates on these movies recently.
The biggest ones are adding movies:

Euro crossing
Kickboxer the champion
L.A.Connection
Thunder kids: Golden adventure
Zodiac power: Super master
Zodiac power 3: Kickboxer from hell

More to come :)
