Some facts about IFD movies:
- For some reason most people think that all of IFD/Filmark movies were directed by
Godfrey Ho, which is completely not true. He was the first director on IFD, but later they were doing too much movies, so other directors were invited as well. IFD and Filmark were rivals, so Godfrey Ho didn't direct movies for Filmark.
- Godfrey Ho is credited as Godfrey Ho and sometimes as Benny Ho (usually as screenplay writer or script developer). All the other names are not Godfrey Ho.
- Philip Ko in credits - is
Phillip Ko Fei (as actor, director and action director)
- Charles Lee in credits - is director
Lee Chiu (2) (as director)
- Donald Kong in credits - is
Chiang Tao (aka Kong Do) (as actor and action director)
- Raymond Chang or Raymond Cheung in credits - is
Cheung Hoi (1) (as cinematographer)
- John Cheung in credits - is
John Cheung Ng-Long (as actor and action director)
- On-screen copyright year is shown in roman numbers and actually lists one year AFTER the release. That means, if the movie was made and released in 1985, on-screen year will be MCMLXXXVI (1986). Exceptions - the first cut-and-paste movies ("Mission thunderbolt" and "Majestic thunderbolt")
- In credits asian names were usually "westernized" to give the movie more western look, for example
Ma Sha was usually credited as Tattooer Ma.
- In credits gweilo actors were sometimes credited under pseudonyms - it was made in order to avoid paying taxes, because most of them weren't HK citizens and had simple tourist visas.
Paulo Tocha was later credited as Bruce Stallion due to his resemblance to Sylvester Stallone.
