Chinese Hercules (1973) Chinese credits!!!

Postby wblaik » Thu Jan 17, 2008 6:47 pm

Hi,

Hopefully these images are useable!! I picked up the UK Rarescope DVD as soon as I realised there were Chinese credits on the disc as an extra.

The 2 duplicate caps are from the dub print which is in better shape! One mystery is already solved - why was a 'Peter Poon' always listed as producing the film? See the Production Manager credit ;)

Is it possible that the HKMDB entry should be changed from Chinese Hercules now?

Added action director Jackie Chan. One of the other 2 names together with Fong Yau is Yuen Dai-Aaan (Yuen Wo-Ping!). I'm not sure if we add the two as action directors or ass. action directors.

Thanks Michael :)

Updated top post.

I'm sure they'd go in as Assistants as it's a secondary credit. Although I'm not familiar with how's that's written. Can anyone assist?

Added Fong Yau and Yuen Wo-Ping as ass. action directors. Their job could also be "martial arts advisor" or something like that.

Wow good eyes Calros :)

Does 洪流 Hung Lau look correct to you?

EDIT: Just found the original Chinese title for Freedom Strikes a Blow (matching these caps)!

"Does 洪流 Hung Lau look correct to you? "

Because Hung Lau not appear in the movie I think it is possible that it is another name in the cast list who looks similiar.

Yes, that's what I'm getting at. :)

My Chinese reading is based on picture associations only. Cut copy paste google, copy paste HKFA , HKMDB copy paste etc etc. :)

That's the Hercules credit.

Here's the same(??) name in The Comet Strikes...

Comparing again I realise both are quite different. Shame on me???

EDIT: Could it be 洪荒?
