Question: HONG KONG BUTCHER (1987)

This movie isn't on the database, 1987 is an estimated year. I have a bad copy of it on vhs, the story is the same of Dr. Lamb. I found few infos about it, the director could be Jeff Lau Chun-wai, but I'm really not sure. The initial credits aren't translated in english, if you want I can take some photos of them.

I'm sorry, but my vhs quality is awful. So the pics I took with my digital camera are nearly unreadable. In any case I try to post the title and a sample of the end credits. I can take more photos, but I fear they're useless. I hope that if we can trace down the chinese characters of the title we can find more info about this movie. I cannot recognize any actor. Maybe Norman Chu and Kwan Hoi-san are casted, but I'm really not sure. No one else know this movie? The only two books that talk about it are Thomas Weisser's Asian Cult Cinema (and I know that on this book there're a lot of error, so... ) and an italian book by Alberto Pezzotta. Both credit Jeff Lau as director.

I have deciphered the chinese title:
香港屠夫
which means, exactly, "Hong Kong Butcher"...
But I have not found nothing in the Web related to it. Maybe was a movie made for TV? (this film does not appear in his site http://www.geocities.com/hkmovies168/jefflau.htm )

What a pity, because I like to add in the Db rare films as yours...
I'm afraid we will have to wait to somebody with a better copy...
