Chong Lei is Phillip Ko Fei/Wang Lung-Wai

In an interview in the booklet of the new English BD release of Armor of God II - Operation Condor (1991) Vincent Lyn mentions that Phillip Ko and Johnny Wang Lung-Wei directed together FURY IN RED. I think that's believable. I always thought that the movie looked like a movie by Wang or Ko.

OUTBURST (the other movie credited for Chong Lei) also looks like a movie by Phillip Ko (with his usual actors from that period: Ko Chun-Kit and Benny Lai)

Objections if I merge Chong Lei with Ko and Wang?

Interesting. Give me a few days to do a bit of looking into this one.

If it's a collective pseudonym, not just a straight alias for one person, shouldn't it stay on its own and have an explanation on the profile page?

I can see arguments going both ways and I cannot remember the last time we dealt with a collective pseudonym.

I tend to lean toward leaving the collective pseudonym in place as a separate "person" but I will allow editor discretion.

In any case, we need to put something in the notes (Bio) for all people (individual and collective) clearly indicating this.

I am not against this possibility.

Bob, be free to decide/be free to add notes to the three entries :D

By the way: The ? is Ni and not Lei.

?? can also mean Jo(h)nny - what speaks more for Johnny Wang Lung-Wei.

? romanizes to ni2 in the Pinyin romanization of Mandarin, and ? romanizes in to nei4 in several Cantonese romanizations (Jyutping, Yale and GD, for example). In H.K. "nei" in any tone is frequently pronounced as lei (which toneless sounds like the the English word "lie"). At times this is mis-romanized as such as well. In any case, this is a very unusual character for a name...and obviously something "made-up".

Anyway, I will update these.

Thanks for the investigative work Michael.
