Shooting in the Morning (1979) -> Elsa Yang

Happy New Year everyone

I watched the full movie recently:
http://hkmdb.com/db/movies/view.mhtml?i ... ay_set=eng

It is certainly no "Action / Bullet Ballet" genre, but rather some sort of social drama. In fact there's just one short action scene in the whole movie (when Liu Ping is wrecking the house with a bulldozer), or two at the most, depends on whether you consider an execution quickly carried out by a firing squad as an "action scene".

Possible cast mistake:
"??? ? Yeung Wai-Ling" (no portrait images available in the database)
This name is neither backed by poster nor by movie credits, while Elsa Yang Hui-Shan ??? is missing in the database credits. She is confirmed by poster and movie credits, also easy to recognize as the second leading role at Ma Sha's side:

I believe to have identified another actor by movie credits and face recognition:
??? Hung Fa-Long

Well, I forgot, there's also a scene when the young Ma Sha (Lee Siu-Fei) is chased & beaten up by some thugs. I still wouldn't call it an action movie.

Thanks for updating, Harlock

Btw: does anyone know the source of the second director "Ma Hwa" ?? ?
Poster as well as movie credits list only Ulysses Au-Yeung Jun alone as the director.
And is it sure that Ma Hwa took a break of 17 years before he wrote and directed "Horror Net" (1996) or was he just mixed up because of the same chinese name?
http://hkmdb.com/db/people/view.mhtml?i ... ay_set=eng

The database has also a different ?? Ma Wa with only one credit (First Error Step 1979):
http://hkmdb.com/db/people/view.mhtml?i ... ay_set=eng
it's seems likely to me that he's the same who worked on "Shooting in the Morning", as both movies have the same director, the same leading actor, more or less the same genre and were made in the same year (and on the top in both movies the role of the young "Ma Sha" were played by Eagle Lee Siu-Fei^^)

I see, Douban and Baidu list both names as directors, too. Don't know how reliable these sites are, sometimes they copy data from HKMDB themselves.

Baidu is fairly good. Douban is unreliable, and I would avoid it.

we should delete Ma Hwa from director in SITM, leave Ma Hwa only with Horror.net and put the production manager credits to Ma Wa (1)

In this case however it's Douban who lists Elsa Yang ??? correctly, while Baidu mixed her up with ???, too.
