"Billed as ..." additions

I have put two other brackets for "billed as" here, as Lo Mang
and Peter Chan are credited in LAST STRIKE differently (this also is obvious in the
German trailer – basing on the original one - where their names and faces are stated
together by an off-speaker at the end of the trailer)

As this little "concept" makes things clearer,
I would hope for some kind of a solution with jobs too.

This week FREEDOM STRIKES A BLOW was some kind of a topic
for me, as I had watched the new Bluray release of it.

I was at first irritated by seeing Yuen Wo Ping as a martial arts
assistant, not remembering him to well for that or discovering him
among the extras. I had seen the movie 20 years ago.

That irritation goes back to a time where I didn't assume "Yuen Ta Yen"
being an alias for him. But "Yuen Ta Yen" is in the original credits on my
subtl. VHS, as I checked then.

To make such things clearer in future and reducing the possibility of an
irritation at first, I would hope for some kind of a possibility programmingwise
to put "billed as" directly behind a job entry.

But I do not know how complicated that would be ...

Best,
Oliver

Your concept is fine. And I like this idea because it is so common. But his does not follow my credit guidelines (which you need to understand).

Angle braces are for tags. This is not a tag. So it is preferred to use parenthesis () AFTER the credit, and use the phrase "credited as".

I will update the guidelines, and eventually provide a programmatic solution.

Thank you for refining my English,
I always want to deliver the best English
using the correct words in a context with every line I formulate
in the database.

(I just wondered about you using "braces" vs. my "brackets".
is it the same in American English?)

Don't know if I understood correctly, please advise:

Lately I was using the ( ) ones with actors and alternate crediting,
but Michael came in and had changed them into [ ] ones – as these were
the common ones in the role names. Wondering about it I was
doing a small post about it, so I used the angle ones this time.

So shall I change them back into ( ) ones
in the few cases I have added them?

In this referred-to LAST STRIKE case

http://hkmdb.com/db/movies/view.mhtml?i ... ay_set=eng

all the extras are with angle ones,
any reason for that, or just very old entries?

Do not change anything yet until I fully review the credit tags. I will review, and update soon.

The important thing is that you have the information in place.
