Merge? New York China Town (1982)

This entry: http://hkmdb.com/db/movies/view.mhtml?id=9617 seems to be a duplicate of the above. First, the two stars match. Second, the Taiwanese poster mentions the original title of ????? is ????? which is quite similar to ?????, the Chinese title of New York China Town, the only difference being that "New York" replaces "Chinatown" in the original title on the Taiwanese poster. I think that's Melvin Wong on the Taiwanese poster, too, who was also in New York China Town. I couldn't find any definite proof that they're the same, like a matching still, but it seems very likely. There are some taglines that mention certain plot points on the Taiwanese poster, so if anybody here has watched New York China Town and knows the details of the plot, they could help confirm it by that method.

Good work!
I think, they are definately the same.

I have watched the movie a long time ago, but cannot check or would not
like to invest time at the moment to see if the image motifs are
identical. I have a German VHS, and an Ocean Shores LD.

Don't you have some version in your collection?

I try to find some still or lobbies ... should have some to upload them.

I found two lobby images once downloaded somewhere from
the internet. The files' names tell that they were from China,
the Chinese title is a little bit different.

I will upload them the next minutes ...

I have uploaded two lobbies, only thing I found.
They pretty sure are Taiwan lobby for the release there.

I have downloaded the (pretty sure) Taiwan release poster.
I will edit it a little bit, as it is slightly distorted, and will upload it
again.

Final proof:

On the back of the French VHS, currently on Ebay France,
you have the same still of that American police man as
it is on poster. – I have uploaded it.

The poster originally uploaded by carlos is definitely Taiwanese. But why do you think those lobby cards are Taiwanese? First you said they were "from China" (ambiguous, to say the least.) Apart from The Wing-Scope, there is no other company name on them.

What is the point of uploading that picture of the French tape? It isn't even scanned like the German one. The two "mysterious" lobby cards, too - you took them from another website, upscaled them, slightly adjusted the levels (read: simply lowered the quality of the already low-quality image) and uploaded them here. The poster, meanwhile, you downloaded from this website, but the image on here is one that was already edited (by calros, presumably, since he uploaded it) so you just lowered the quality further. Why?

Furthermore, you added a French and German title (I think we still do not add those), an explanatory note about the German title that is simply not necessary, and two functionally identical aliases (New York China Town - which I believe should be the primary title, but that's neither here nor there) distinguished only by one supposedly being "German" and the other referring back to the credits.

I appreciate your help in finding the matching still on the tape and the poster, but I do not understand why you did all these other things which add no real information to the entry.

If nobody stops me in 15 days I will remove the French and German title aliases...
...until the new feature of aliases is launched.
