Thou Shall Not Commit

This movie has a somewhat interesting premise -- Anthony Wong plays a man who suspects his wife of cheating, and so sets up his nephew (Michael Tong) as the bait in a trap -- but is let down by lackluster pacing and cheap production values. If it wasn't for Maggie Cheung Ho Yee (not the Maggie Cheung from Police Story and The Heroic Trio, but rather a popular TVB actress who has been moving into more film work recently) and Anthony Wong's performances, there honestly wouldn't be anything worth watching in this film at all. But both of the leads put in good turns (especially suprising since Wong has been on a downward spiral in terms of his acting since winning the Hong Kong Film Award for Beast Cops a couple of years ago) and make Thou Shall Not Commit a tolerable way to kill off a hour and a half if you've exhausted the supply at your local video store and don't have anything better to do.
