Summary: Average

I agree with Inner STrength but i liked the movie more.

There is almost no point for RAy Lui to even have a background of being a triad. It's almost there to fill in the 1 hour and 22 minutes of the movie

The movie begins with Ray Lui kicking ass, but so what!!
The poorly stage fight scenes doesnt help create that he is that good of a fighter. There is even one scene where Ray Lui saves a girl and you see the girl hiding behind the garbage and you not even witnessing the fighting!!

Also the filipino cheap production doesnt help the movie.
The acting though from everyone is non exsistent

The positives about the movie is the storyline itself, about reconciliation. It is also quite touching
I didnt find the movie confusing at all, i think Inner Strength must of missed a lot due to the more subitlted version he saw.

I have seen a lot worst, this at least is watchable

Summary: Home for the Insane

After an hour and 28 minutes, I thought to myself, "so when does the movie start??" as the credits start rolling.

A very confusing movie, not helped by the bad subtitles, about a brother who strays from his family and is caught up with criminals in Hong Kong. Years have gone by and he tries to visit his home but his brother wants nothing to do with him. Eventually, he welcomes his brother back (not before lots of pointless gang fights and a kidnapping) and another twist in the story is Ray Lui suffering from an illness from excessive smoking, and eventually dies. But apart from that, there is nothing going on.

The only good point I have to make on this movie is in fact the way it portrays Ray Lui suffering from this illness, in fact they might have well just made the movie about this, and forgotten the other hour or so of rubbish. After all, Ray Lui was acting well here, and nobody else seemed convincing enough to believe.

To conclude, I would not recommend 'A Home For A Villain' to anyone.

My rating (of 5): 1

(This rating is based on the year & genre, so don't think it's based as a comparison on new releases etc.)
