Reviewed by: spinali Date: 12/08/1999 Summary: NULL This martial arts fantasy begins and ends like Zu: Warriors ofthe Magic Mountain, with magnificent set design, as an evil witch tries to vanquish flying fairy Joey Wong an her assistant. A thousand years later, Joey meets Jackie Cheung of the Royal HK Police, and Joey's handmaiden has been reincarnated as a member of the force, too. With one hand, Jacky handles gangs of triads (all of them goofballs who make ga-ga faces), and with the other, tries to win the affections of the gorgeous fairy, who walks around in veils without anybody taking much notice. Whatever promise of action there was in the first five minutes evaporates quickly, though I did enjoy the cheap but effective visual effects and (obviously) any scene with Joey Wong.
