Tsui Hark's whacked-out farce has more energy than laffs -- Ah Capone (Carl Maka) is out to kill a struggling sleuth (George Lam), the only man who's taken his picture; Chief Inspector Robin (Teddy Robin) pitches in to help his PI pal. A distinctive Cinema City product through and through, with the heart of a Keystone Cops comedy and bursts of just-out-of-film-school directorial genius. Most of the best gags come later, especially the ball room brawl and the classic final shootout.
