Wise Guys Never Die

Summary: nasty and compelling.

I have managed to learn a few things about Hong Kong movies. One thing I've come to learn is that when a film is written, produced, and directed by Wong Jing, it is an important, meaningful work. Wise Guys Never Die is a dark film, nasty and compelling. There are plenty of comedic moments, though. How could there not be, what with 'sad sack' Nick Cheung and the goofball Wong as the lead characters? The femme fatale's prove too be quite fatal. Be sure to pay close attention to what you see, because what you don't see will get you [cinematically] in the end.
