Reviewed by: Sydneyguy Date: 06/01/2008 Summary: A breast cancer awareness movie It tries to be light hearted at times so everything isnt so depressing and gloomy, but the problem is i didnt find any of the comedy funny. It should be a movie that everyone that is going through breast cancer should watch. IT covers many areas, from the emotions that you go through, the chances of going through breast cancer and finally acceptance. Unfortauntely i didnt find this movie entertaining but it is a good alternative to watching a boring documentary about the subject. Reviewer Score: 5

Mr. Law worked for many years as assistant director, editor, and executive director for Mr. To on many of his internationally acclaimed films. 2 Become 1 is an interesting work, mixing romantic comedy with heavy melodrama about breast cancer. Produced by Mr. To, Mr. Law does a good job bringing that renowned Milky Way Image quality to the screen. Miriam Yeung Chin-Wah plays a young, upwardly mobile, and single Hong Kong woman with good job, good friends, and good family. The politics of dating and love affairs take up much of her free time with her friends. She meets a young, upwardly mobile, and single Hong Kong doctor, played by Richie Ren Xian-Qi. They have a quick romance, and during a sexual interlude the doctor feels a lump in her breast. This event triggers a big emotional upheaval in Ms. Yeung’s character. She does a nice job playing with the wide range of feelings a cancer victim might endure. Casting of supporting players is quite good, making for a very colorful depiction of modern HK life and all its trials and tribulations.
