Predictable melodrama about two childhood best friends who rise to the top of the Hong Kong pop scene under the influence of their mentor, Johnny K (Teddy Robin Kwan), who once ruled the pop scene himself (yeah right, Teddy). Tons of cameos, but only interesting if you are intimately familiar with the past and present of the Hong Kong music industry.

Above expectations. Kinda like a Canto Rock/Pop version of I Havea Date With Spring, not as good though. Look out for the character's names and who they resemble...

A nostalgia piece with the "history" of HK music industry as the background. The first half of the film is entertaining enough but after midway it becomes mundane. For a film on people in music industry, the music is rather disappointing. Lyrics by Erica Lee (also co-screenwriter) is only thing noteworthy on this area.
