Reviewed by: Cissi Date: 06/26/2001 Summary: 7/10-Charming, but predictable Pleasant, charming film with some pretty amusing scenes (esp. between the two sparring partners) and snappy dialogue. It follows a very well-worn formula: two people who highly dislike each other are thrown together by circumstances beyond their control, but later are mutually attacted. The film focuses on the relationship between Anthony Chan and Sandra Ng, who both are great in their roles and work well together. The actual purpose of them working together-following a suspect-is placed in the background as we watch the sweet, slowly-blooming relationship. I'm surprised by the low box office takings, because this film is very watchable, even if it is predictable. A nice early 90s comedy.
