I'm sorry, but this is the most overhyped HK movie I've ever seen. It's completely boring. Nothing interesting happens at all, and Leung kar yan's fight with Moon Lee is way too brief. Moon Lee's pop vocals and Gordon Liu can't save this one. Eddie Chavira's sax solo score is recycled again and used nicely in Gordon's secens, though. The script, actors, and crew are tired, and what they are given, I don't blame them. */*****

Summary: One of Moon Lee's best!

I read somewhere that this is the best of the ANGEL "ripoffs"...all things considered this film does share more than one trait with the classic Moon/Yukari actioner, and not accidentally! However, it is one of the best, whether you call it a ripoff, an actioner, or a Moon Lee film!

Moon has rarely looked or performed better than in KILLER ANGELS. She is one of a team of professional mercenaries known as the Blue Angels hired by law enforcement to protect a witness named Jacky Chan(!) who promises to turn over evidence guaranteed to break his former triad employers. Along the way Moon and her partner must contend with a professional killer (the "Master Killer" himself, Gordon Liu!), his VERY jealous would-be girlfriend (Nadeki Fujimi), Jacky -- who not only is a wolf but has a dirty deal up his sleeve, and even a new recruit to the Angels who wants to kill Jacky for revenge!

All of the actors involved in this movie provide solid performances...but the best part of this movie is Moon Lee. She's rarely looked better, as I said before, but she also gets to do something she's never done in any other film (at least that I know of): she sings! Tricked out like Sheena Easton in her '80s heyday, Moon headlines a song-and-dance number in a triad-owned nightclub! (She's pretty good for being undercover!) All kidding aside, is there anything Moon CAN'T do?

Fair warning: I managed to get ahold of the subtitled version which features Moon's singing scene, but in the English Dubbed version the entire scene was cut out! (Translation problems, I guess!)

Summary: STRANGE

Considered as a cult classic to many, it's just another movie about killing it seems. Within the first 5 minutes, there are countless different deaths occuring, a very 'all-over-the-place' movie.

Rating: 2/5

(This rating is based on the year & genre, so don't think it's based as a comparison on new releases etc.)

Summary: This Movie Rocks!

I've seen quite a few Moon Lee actioners and this is one of the best! Moon looks very hot and she fights, sings, and dances her way through this kinetic flick! There's even a good subplot going on with Gordon Liu Chia Hui. He doesn't get to fight much but his acting is good! The jealous psycho-bitch is also really good in this movie.Worth a look!!

An absolute classic. All three of the "Blue Angels" - led by MoonLee, who goes undercover as a nightclub chanteuse - are wonderful, and the "jealous bad girl in a leather jacket on a motorcycle with a shotgun" (NOT, I'm afraid, Yukari Oshima, as I have mistakenly reported some time ago) is unforgettable. The butch Angel, who goes undercover dressed as a man in order to case the nightclub, is very cool - as is the 'schoolgirl' looking Angel who beats up the witness she's protecting whenever he hits on her.
