I was a little confused on what was going on, the main plot is people wanting to find the lost gold from the prince, who is granted wishes by the bloody parrot, a being from the devil's blood. Tradegy hits his family and the search is on!! There are other sub plots in there,that just got me confused. I didnt know if a character was a good or bad guy. Some boobs and gross scenes are there for shock value, but by todays standards, its nothing much. The action itself was what you expect. Reviewed by: pjshimmer Date: 12/17/2002 Summary: Bad? okay? good? This movie didn't work for me. The Mandarin dub is terrible as per usual in a SB wuxia movie, and the lack of action doesn't help. However, what little action there is is pretty good, thanks to Yuen Tak the action director. Film is adapted from Gu Long's novel with the same title, but it's not faithful to the novel at all. The ending takes bad endings to new heights. Fans of gore/horror will probably enjoy this freaky movie. I suggest you spend $ on better stuff. [5/10]
