Reviewed by: Sydneyguy Date: 01/31/2009 Summary: Should be called Hercules with a sword ITS just over the top action, with the Golden being s strong, he lifts people up and throws them with ease.Forget poison, this guy still battles on like nothing has happened. The basic plot is the Golden lion and his brothers a Robin Hood type bandits and the government pay a villain to dispose of him, but it aint that easy. Against the odds he escapes but is poison, so he sees the help of a famous martial artist doctor. But the doctor needs to find a herb which is far away in the mountains.............will they find thsi herb in time? Well the doctors son betray him so to save face for the family? The action is standard for these shaw brother movies, a lot of cling and clanging with the swords, which isnt exciting to watch. There is nothing here that impressed me, apart from the sub plot with the doctor and his son. Standard shaw brothers movie Reviewer Score: 6

Reviewed by: MrBooth Date: 10/08/2007 Nice piece of martial arts action featuring a noble strongman thief, a tenacious pursuer, a virtuous doctor and his daughter. Good characters and lots of cool action from Hsu Erh Niu make this a very entertaining watch for fans of the genre. Reviewer Score: 7
