Reviewed by: sookjenwong Date: 09/22/2006 Summary: All about Fan Lei Fa The central character of this movie is Fan Lei Fa played by Law Yim Hing. She meets up and falls in love with Sik Ding San played by So Siu Tong. Sik is very hard headed and stubborn and proud warrior. After many defects, he is to marry Fan however Fan's brothers and father disagrees and ultimately has a fight and is beaten and killed accidentally. Sik hearing this, cannot acccept this nevertheless the good Fan continues her quest to help and do for her husband. She meets up with a thief of the mountains Wong Yin lung played by a young Connie chan Po-chiu (wow she is about 14 here), a well seasoned actress especially in the opera segment. Her showmanship of the spear the fight scenes and singing are superb for someone so young. Anyways, Wong and Fan meet and they fight and if Wong loses, he will accept Fan as his mother - so his name then became Sik Yin Lung. The rest of the movie goes through how Fan helps the husband Sik but he is too hard headed. Finally, when the enemies are attacking the country, he had to seek the help of Fan and he kneels, bows and begs. Finally he realizes Fan is a good person and wife and they reunite.
