Reviewed by: Frank Lakatos Date: 03/25/2006 Summary: This movie was edited into Tomas Tang's Clash of the Ninja(1986) Producer Tomas Tang edited together with ninja footage to make Clash of the Ninja(1986). Eddie Chan plays the lead as a mainland refugee running away from the law and Kwan Hoi San, who plays a shady business man using the mainlanders for their dubious deeds. The original version to ran for Life is boring with an uninteresting story. Although Eddie Chan is a decent actor, he has nothing to work with in this movie. Watch Clash of the Ninja(1986) instead for the eloquent paulo Tocha, the great ninja villain Louis Roth and a bunch of insane ninja scenes. Tomas Tang used another 1982 HK movie Unreal Dream(1982) to make up Tough Ninja the Shadow Warrior(1986). Tang rehired actors from the original productions of these movies to shoot linking sequences to the ninja footage. *1/2 for Ran for Life/*** for Clash of the Ninja(1986)
