Another bargain bin DV masterpiece, this time a blatant remake of THE DEVIL'S ADVOCATE with Ng Shui-ting in the Keanu Reeves role and Austin Wai in the Al Pacino role, only minus the whole "devil" angle because it appears to be made in Malaysia by HK talent (thus the credits in Malay/English). No date of production present, but the presence of Billy and Tommy Chung as producers might date this to 1999, around the same time they remade FARGO as TWO FACES (which also featured Ng Shui-ting) and SHATTERED as IMAGE SEARCH. In fact, I'm wondering if the country of origin on all three of these should be changed from Hong Kong to Malaysia, or does country of origin only apply to the country where the financing and/or talent comes from, in which case I'm still not sure?
