A NOTE ABOUT THE TITLE
The main DB title for this is "The Mystery of Big Boobs" which I think is probably incorrect, and maybe the result of someone "correcting" what they thought was a spelling error. The HKFA listing, which is linked from our listing, keeps "Mistery" which I think might have been intentional in this case (if a bit obscure): in rare instances, the word can mean "a trade" which is what Crystal Kwok does in this movie: she trades her boring life for an exciting life by enlarging her breasts with the aid of a traditional doctor whom she pays in Aaron Kwok memorabilia (don't ask). I doubt this movie was ever released on DVD, so the spelling on the VCD sleeve is probably the only English title available. The film's onscreen title is in Chinese only. The "Mystery" version of the title should probably remain as an alias, just in case anyone tries to spell it that way when they're looking it up. I added the "Mistery" version as an alias earlier today, but I think it should be switched to the main position.

Also, the film has no copyright date in the credits, but a calendar on the wall in few scenes is open to Oct. 1992. Perhaps this was filmed in 92, released in 93, but I'm not sure where to find out for sure.

The HKFA link gives a 1993 production date. It also lists a 90 minute run time vs 79 minutes for the vcd.

Actually, I could swear the VCD I watched was closer to 90 minutes than 79. Guess I gotta check it again. Either way, I have doubts this was edited down from a harder rating. The whole tone of the piece is just too . . . clean, more screwball than T&A.
