Just watched COCKTAIL with Endy Chan and Race Wong tonight and in looking up the writer, discovered a possible discrepancy: according to our DB, Cheung Faan, the writer of this film and the likewise decent TRUTH OR DARE: 6th FLOOR REAR FLAT wrote these two youth-oriented films after a thirty-nine year absence from the industry. That's just doesn't seem right...

Your "Zhang Fan (3)" seems a less likely possibility, based solely on my rigourously scientific method of staring at his picture and pondering his affiliation with bland mainland productions, and largely because both COCKTAIL and SIXTH FLOOR have moderately convincing Hong Kong youth vibes, if that makes any sense at all.

The Cantonese and Mandarin name edit fields for all the Cheung Fans just appear as "blank space (2)" etc... I guess that is not intentional?

According to HKFA, our Zhang Fan and our Cheung Fan (2) is the same person, who is one of the writers of TRUTH OR DARE: 6th FLOOR REAR FLAT.

#5 is a she and here's her radio interview. According to this interview, she writes movies (ie. Truth Or Dare : 6th Floor Rear Flat & Cocktail), radio dramas, books and is also a stage lighting designer.
