I see the poster image catalogued here has reliable cast members to draw a proper roster from. Unless someone can verify spot him in that flick, I don't know that Jackie as a mid-teen was in it. I vaguely recall the non-martial arts story having younger adolescent roles cast but no Jackie as a teen. There were stunts but with adult Japanese staff. From what I know of this title, filming started in 70 (w/a publicized shoot in Japan), creative differences halted production, new dtr came in to finish & wasn't released until 72.

Word of advice for us arm-chair editors, please cross reference with trepidation when consulting with the IMDB; they have an AKA called 'Stranger in HK' for one of Jackie's titles i.e. 'Cracked Fingers' & that tells me somebody here may have used that precedence.

Yeah, the best thing anyone could do to the countless hopeless entries on Hong Kong films at the IMDB would be to add a tag on every one of them that says: "For accurate information on this film, please visit the HKMDB." Sigh.... We may still have booboos in the database here, but they'll likely be fixed long before they would at the IMDB...

That's what I think but I didn't post this to beat a dead horse or embarrass anyone; I'm just alerting you guys or whoever the original editor is to verify & follow-up. I might have an old VHS of this title but it may be in a basement storage some 400 miles away (so it ain't gonna happen). I'm no expert on Jackie's filmography but if someone made an honest to goodness 'Elvis' citing, please verify and revise properly.

No affirmation needed there. Well my arms are getting tired mopping up all that backwash...it's just too frustrating & it stinks. I do get satisfaction providing them some rare 50s melodrama or noir title that they don't have but it's really the popular stuff that brings them out ot the woodwork over there. Boy do I feel sorry for their Indie KF genre titles. It's like every rabid fan whose armed with a video box has to leave their own mark, accuracy be damned.

Well, I got a hold of my reading glasses and figured it out. It's actually the former. Couldn't make out the 2nd to last supporting cast member as it's still fuzzy but the final 2 character cast member is listed horizontally as 'Tien Feng' and he's exclusively listed in the fine print as 'guest star'.

BTW, the visual tip was the magazine poster itself. Part of the image (bottom left of center) shows an unkown child actor (chances are he may be the unknown name), Chen Wen Ching, Chin Feng & Tien Feng far left.

If it's a help, for Jackies early Lo Wei films he used his opera name when credited as Martial Arts Director (apparently out of respect for his teacher).

On the English credits for To Kill With Intrigue, he is listed as Chen Wen Lung.

Thanks for the tip. This other aka I've been aware of only my point is I hope it's not some editor's random 'Elvis' sitings for famous personalities in rare obscure HK films. Incidentally while a handful of the little Fortunes did do uncredited extras work for Shaws and to my knowledge, there's only one part that I know of that Jackie's verified to be in (credited or uncredited) and that's Li Han Hsiang's 'Golden Lotus' so if there's more, it's actually fun to discover it however there's a point when folks with more enthusiasm than knowledge or history with itchy keyboard fingers to add are 'reaching' to apply their hunches where little or no proof exists. Of course my sometimes futile contributions on that OTHER database has gotten me to get a bit ornery on the subject (but almost never here). Re: Jackie in this 1971-72 title sure it's concievable but still in doubt given what I know of Shaw's history but since I'm not 100% sure, I'm not going advocate his removal just based my own subjective hunches. In this case, I'd say the original editor retains the benefit of the doubt given management's approval of its inclusion in the first place while the burden of proof's on me to prove he's not in it since I've called the editor out, no matter what alias Jackie's listed as .

The lobbies are older than the presskit so please note that Kuei Chih Hung didn't get any directorial credits up front. Also Jackie's never been slighted even in his few bit roles for Shaws/Li Han Hsiang so after I dug this stuff, still no 'Chen Yuen Lung' but still inconclusive. I guess I may still have to dig up that lost VHS to put this to rest.
