Just watched this director's category III drama MY WIFE'S LOVER the other night and found it far better than most such adult fare. Looking to see what became of him after this and LOVE IS A FAIRY TALE the following year (1992), I came across this site with info regarding his latest feature, TANGSHAN, TANGSHAN (2006) a Chinese drama centred around the Tangshan earthquake in 1976,

http://www.bbff.com.au/web/_image/_film ... /index.htm

I can't find a whole lot of info on the film just yet, but from the images posted at that link, it looks like Chu has lost none of the sheen he's perfected during 20+ years working in TV commercials. Perhaps we could give the film an a DB placeholder for now?

Bit of a bio there that might be worth rewriting at some point, or cutting and pasting, if that's allowed.

This link lists some cast members, plus the country of origin as Hong Kong (??), I suspect due to Chu's production company being there:

And this link has a .pdf file from The Byron Shire Echo, a community newspaper that ran an article about the film's debut at the Byron Bay Film Festival in Australia and the Best Picture award Chu won for it.

Finally, a Hong Kong-based musician/singer/"licenced investment representative" called Jenny Jenny (aka Jenny Tong) has three pieces of music featured in the film, as detailed on her site:
http://www.jennyjenny.net/
which also features a clip from the movie:

I think it's allowed as long as due credit is given - seems more honest to me than paraphrasing and trying to claim 'original work'.
