I couldn't get my computer to accept the VCDs on this one, but these sleeve scans capture enough information to significantly update the credits, including character names for at least five actors.

This one is alternately (and mistakenly) known as FATERDNGERS thanks to a misprint on the VCD sleeve, and FATERDANGERS thanks to a misprint on the VCDs themselves! Which is sad, because it's a decent movie!

I'm really hoping my good friend Fan might be willing to tranlate the synopsis on the bottom scan here to better help me understand this surprisingly good little film! The VCD has no subtitles, but I think I have a basic idea of what happens in the movie, but they seem to pull a fast one during the last fifteen minutes or so and completely re-envision everything that has happened up to that point, and I'm hoping there might be some clues in the sleeve text

It is a bit worrying how many films I've seen lately that feature the man, but I actually don't mind him. He's a solid actor, when he wants to be, but more often than not, especially from about 1998 to 2002, he was too often seen lending "name" cred to low-budget movies like this one. Mind you, without these movies, a LOT of people in the HK film industry might have completely given up hope of finding regular work during that rather lacklustre period. In his early films, from the late 80's and very early 90's, however (like THE STING), I find him rather annoying.

As for namesakes, I was rather pleased to discover that the venerable Leung Kar-yan shares mine, albeit with a slightly different spelling. But then again, you've got Simon Yam, too, so that ain't half bad.

This is what happens when you have an enourmous backlog of movies to watch, and you finally have the time to start watching them, and you start with the low-budget B-movies! Simon Loui's in virtually ALL of them, so it's tough to miss him, I'm afraid. As I work my way up, I'll be seeing less Simon!

I've been trying to find a site that carries the synopsis in a format where I could simply cut and paste it into a translator. Most (including Yesasia) seemed to have it as an image, rather than text, so I couldn't highlight it. Figured I'd ride your coattails and cut & paste it from here in to the Google translator, which offers a mild improvement:
