Meg Lam's character is "Mai" (per this screen-grab), not "Mak" as we currently have...

And Kwan Ming-Yuk's character is "Lu Chu Chio" (or should that be "Chiao"?) over the "Lu Chu Go" that we currently have...

One other thing: where was Kam Biu in this film? He is creditted in our DB entry, but I was unable to spot him anywhere. Mind you, I wasn't really looking for him...but I don't remember him being in the film. :?:

Roles in subtitles are sometimes written in cantonese format and sometimes in mandarin format. Added as alias. :)

Kam Biu appears in the credits of this movie and somebody spotted him as a lecherous old man.

No worries about the names; have been watching Hong Kong movies long enough to be aware of that (started in the eighties). It really seems dependent on the era they originate from -- a LOT of the eighties stuff featured Mandarin names in the English subtitles, even though it was Cantonese being spoken on the soundtrack. For the record, it's pretty clear that all of Meg Lam's neighbours call her "Mai" (or "May/Mei") in Cantonese.

As for Kam Biu, yes it looks like you're right -- I overlooked him as he's only a minor character; albeit Aunt Sha's (Sandra Lang) husband, not some non-descript "lecherous old man", ala...

I'm going to go and post all of the CHATTER STREET KILLER credits now, as I think I've spotted a few anomalies in our DB entry. :)
