I just re-checked my VCD to confirm this and ended up watching big chunks of the movie! Hope that helps, though I still haven't given myself the ability to do screen-grabs, which I'm sure would be better.

Like mentioned the father is indeed played by Wong Yat Fei (1).
In the end titles he is listed with the chinese characters of Wong Yat Fei (2).
I think we can combine the two names.
