Jackie Chan and Hwang Jang Lee appear at the beginning, in flashback from the previous movie.

From the cast listing on hkmdb, it looks as though Jackie was added then deleted.

Some (perhaps all) recent DVD covers therefore promote this as a Jackie Chan movie, which it is in only a very literal and misleading sense.

Opinions - should Jackie's name be kept out of the cast listing ?

Mine is that he and Hwang should be included with an explanatory, such as "appears in opening flashback".

In this case it probably should be mentioned that they appear in recycled footage somewhere, given the name of the film, but I'm not sure if the cast list is the right place...

I've often wondered whether to include somebody who appears in a clip, e.g. if the characters watch something in the cinema or on TV, but always decided not to do it.

If it's footage that's actually spliced in though, there's a stronger case for putting them in the cast...
