Hey Calros,
Sorry to make more work for you than you already have (or, then again, maybe I could put it forward that this info is up for a change in 15 days?).
Per the above information...
Race Wong
http://www.hkmdb.com/db/people/view.mht ... ay_set=eng
...is creditted
nowhere in any of her Hong Kong films that I have as per our DB entry (Wong Wan-Pei). She is credited as "Race Wong" in the English credits, and "Wong Yuen Ling" in the Chinese credits. My evidence is as thus...
JULY RHAPSODY (2002) end credits
SOUND OF COLOURS (2003) end credits
AB-NORMAL BEAUTY (2004) opening credits
AB-NORMAL BEAUTY (2004) DVD filmography page
THE UNUSUAL YOUTH (2005) opening credits
THE UNUSUAL YOUTH (2005) end credits
MOMENTS OF LOVE (2005) opening credits
MOMENTS OF LOVE (2005) end credits
As has been noted before, my DVD of Wong Jing's LOVE IS A MANY STUPID THING (2004) refuses to read in my DVD-ROM drive, so I checked it on my standalone Sony player and she is creditted as "2R - Race" (which you're going to have to take my word for, unless anyone else is able to supply the necessary screen grab) therein.
Additionally, here is her entry at Love HK Film.com:
http://www.lovehkfilm.com/people/wong_race.htm
And here is an additional entry for her at Encyclopedia Asian Stars:
http://asiastar-hp.hp.infoseek.co.jp/en ... wong.shtml
(As you'll note, both pages accredit her as "Wong Yuen (Yin) Ling")
Thereby, as per our "most commonly attributed name" rule of thumb I am going to move for Race Wong's DB entry to be changed to "Race Wong Yuen-Ling" (with "Race Wong Wan-Pei" as an alias) in the usual 15 day timeframe. This will also avoid confusion with the "Wong Yuen Ling" that is creditted as a singular entry for "Street Kids Violence (1999)" (which I would be surprised if it was her, as she would have been both still in Singapore and perhaps
far too young at 17 to appear in a Cat III film in '99).
Thanks for your time,
Michael
