Mistake on Zhou Xuan filmography

While there may have been another Zhou Xuan who starred in The Arch (1970), it was certainly not the legendary singer Zhou Xuan, who was long dead by then.

Shall I create another actor entry for this 2nd Zhou Xuan and fix this mistake?

Also, the Zhou Xuan film Street Angel (1937) was made in Shanghai. Should it be listed in the HKMDB?

I fixed the problem, The Arch actress is Zhou Xuan 周萱 not the legendary Zhou Xuan 周璇.

I added The Arch actress with the proper name and used the HKFA romanized name Chou Hsuan.

Can someone tell me what's up with the numbers that appear on this new actor entry:

http://hkmdb.com/db/people/view.mhtml?id=20756&display_set=eng

It looks like the Chinese character gifs should be there.

Well, either the problem fixed itself...or a HKMDB elf surreptitiously fixed it for me!

Dave, I've had the same thing happen to me on occasion when I added a new name. Blinked and it self-corrected. Maybe some sort of lag in a lookup?

Please do. I think it was agreed in a recent discussion that we'd take a ' the more the better' approach. There are some classic films that need to be recognized in our db. Personally, I'd like to be adding more Mainland and HK co-productions especially since there is so much cross-pollenization occuring. Another 'mini'-project for myself in the future, I suppose.

If it's OK to keep Street Angel in, now I have an excuse to write a review and do some screen caps for one of my all time favorite movies!
