Calros, caybe I am confused about what you are saying, but you can add a movie with only the Big5 name (i.e., no English title).

That is an OOOOOOOooooooold topic.

 If we add a movie without english title, in the english page of the filmography of the actor it will appear only with the year. Now imagine we found another recent movie with the same actor, and without english title, too. The result may be confusing. i.e.,

Dack Night Wolf (2003)
(2004)
(2004)
Himalaya Singh (2004)

 If we maintain the chinese symbols as "english title", the people with no chinese characters in their PC will see the filmography as:

 We can add the "direct transliteration" of the movie as "english title", i.e., "Chai Shi Yan Kuai Bo", but I prefer to wait a few months until we get the official english title. Well, this is my humble opinion... :?

looloo82, where did you find that info?

It's clear that the currently implemented system of English-centric title handling is entirely inadequate. I would suggest by convention we (re)consider using an italicized or parenthesized translated title in lieu of a missing English title. There are some films that simply have no English title.

That is (almost) exactly what I wanted to do, but other editors and "suggesters" did not accept that system. The whole topic in http://hkmdb.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=38507

In a certain way, they were right. Remember that a lot of chinese movie titles have "double meaning" which cannot be translated in english...

As you can see, it is a controversial topic...

(sorry Ms. Casey this is now absolutely off-topic)
