Alan Tang's filmography on the db is full of missing english titles. I hope someone could fix them all.

I noticed on Alan Tang's fan site, there is a filmography:

...which he apparently provided personally to the website. There is also a (questionable) English translation provided, and it appears that it was at least partially used in the creation of his HKMDB entries. Can we assume this is accurate? The titles that have no english translation seem to be very obscure. But if indeed there are no English titles at all then I think I will put in a straight translation of the title as an alias (which will at least make it searchable in English).

I approached the webmistress of this site some time ago, with a view to assist her, and also use/add missing credits.

Many of the obscure films were added by me, using the mostly-Chinese-only movie list which was drawn up and provided personally by Alan Tang.

That list does contains some inaccurate information - and I have corrected said (and known) inaccuracies by cross-reference, but some errors are still possible. They are mainly of the Chinese-title-added-to-the-wrong-movie type of error.

That said, the site was and is an invaluable resource for updating and adding movies. The webmistress also sent me copies of posters, which I updated onto HKMDB, and I met then when they came over to Sydney a couple of years ago. They are a charming couple. She is a high-ranking karate instructor who, by an odd sequence of events, became enamoured of the handsome Alan.

Briefly, the accuracy of the information on the site depends on what resources you are reading.
* The Chinese-only movie list I have covered above.
* The casts listed in English only need cross-referencing
* The posters, of course, are more reliable.

Yes, I see upon re-reading my post that it was a bit unclear.
"They" are Cyndy Jones (webmistress and fearsome karate practicioner) and her husband Tom. Neither they (nor I) have actually met Alan.

By the way, it is nice to see you back and contributing again, STSH.

I finally have some spare time, and am gradually rebuilding my resources (i.e. after disposing of everything last year, I only managed to get back to owning a video a few weeks ago, and will shortly get a DVD player).

I also have a job, where I am far from busy, and can thus read and reply during the day <:>|
