Sorry Mr. Ciakmull!
I can not add your information to the Db. I need the screen captures or VCD cover with the credits or a site or whatever (preferablely in chinese) confirm your suggestion.

If you can not provide that information, it's better waiting to see if other editor has seen that film and confirm your data.

I searched in the Net to confirm your data, but only find the 2 actors that you say, Ng Wui and Yip Ping.
But these actors are yet in the Db!!!!
Maybe an anonymous editor put your information. :?:

Thanks for add the symbols to your suggestion :D ; but the symbols only are necessary when they are new names in the Db or there are several persons with the same (or similar) names...

Other strange thing you inform is the "deputy director"--- What is a "deputy director" :?: . In the HKMDb does not exist that thing. Maybe means "executive director"? "assistant director"? "second unit director"? If you can scan the cover of the VCD where appear the chinese symbols of "deputy director" maybe I can decipher its meaning...

Most of these old film credits are taken by the essential Hong Kong Filmography Vol. II, III and IV, all published by the Hong Kong Film Archive. I think we cannot have more accurate sources. I'll post tomorrow a scan of the film page. I can also post the screenshots from the vcd, no problem.

I write also the chinese characters in my last posts to help you editors when updating the credits. If you don't need them from now on I could go on writing just the english names.

Deputy director.... I just wrote down the credit as showed in the book. I think you have to choose between "executive director" (in my opinion it's the most appropriate) or "assistant director".

Those two actors names weren't on the entry, so probably an anonimous friend gave me face... :P

No! Before the doubt, I prefer you put the chinese name, too.

Added. :)

About "Deputy Director": Maybe it's better waiting for any screen capture credit of Cheung Ho to check if he is "executive" (執行導演) or "assistant" director.
For the moment, I put him as "assistant", because according to Chinchanchung's Hong Kong Film Archive Book this man has done tasks of "helping director" (?) 助導 and "assistant director" 副導 before become himself director.

About the screen captures. Unfortunately for me, I have not seen as many HK films as you and Mr. Chinchanchung, so if I want to add accurate information in the HKMDb I need (preferablely chinese) captures as proof of your information. [I accept your books' scans because they are very reputed sources, but better screenshots]. I admit this is a tedious and somewhat stupid task for you "suggesters", but I hope you comprehend... Sorry!

BTW, I have noted that you master chinese symbols now. Are you studying chinese language?

According to the following Darling Girl vcd screenshots Cheung Ho should be credited as "assistant director". We have probably solved the "deputy director" question. See if it's possible to find any other useful info.

Well, now we know with certainty that a "deputy director" is an "assistant director".

But your photos have been more useful than you think... Added prod. manager (new name) and more significant actors who were not in your book entry: Cheung Ying-Tsoi 張英才, Lee Pang-Fei 李鵬飛 , Doreen Chien 容蓉 (this must be one of her first movies, because our first entry about her is from about 10 years later...); also founded an interesting data: Cheung Ho does also a supporting role in the film... :D ! (maybe is its only appearance in movies)
Definitely, it's funnier checking screenshots!
