Ku Feng problems?

I'm thinking that two Ku Feng/Guk Fungs have been merged, looking at this page:

http://www.hkmdb.com/db/people/view.mhtml?id=3579&display_set=eng

Certainly the guy pictured isn't the Ku Feng that's in... well, practically every Shaw Brothers martial arts film, and I'm pretty sure that Ku Feng isn't still making films.

Two people, one name? Anybody know where to split the entries if so?

(Apologies for not posting lately, btw - been under a mountain of work)

List seems good to me. And yes, Ku Feng is still making films albeit short appearances. I know STSH has updated quite a few of his later films, especially of the CAT III nature.

Silver Fox

is indeed the Ku Feng that's in Vengeance, Ten Tigers of Kwantung, Secret Services, etc. Although admittedly I don't see him in a lot of modern day movies; it's certainly easier to ID him in ancient custome.

Crikey... guess he gained some weight as he got older or something. I don't think I've seen him without a goatee before :)

Yes, they're all him. Don't forget, the great Guk Fung/Ku Feng has been acting since the mid-sixties and, as far as I know, the tough old bugger is still at it.

I've liked this guy since I first saw him in films - the first ones I saw him in were mainly heapies in the eary 90s. He usually played either a kindly uncle figure or a patriarchal crime boss or taoist priest. Later on, I caught up with his earlier appearances, and was surprised that he seemed to play mainly villains. The first time I saw him has a fit and dangerous young man was as the head of the axe gang in Boxer From Shantung. Sure, he was young and thinner, but there's no mistaking those bags under the eyes and tanned face.

Probably the majority of the films he's appeared in over the last 15 years or so have been crap, and mostly he's the only thing in them worth watching. Hope he kicks on for a while yet.
