Trilogy of Swordsmanship

Postby williamwan » Wed Oct 17, 2007 4:29 am

In the first sub-movie "Iron Bow", I didn't see Ling Hon, Gam Gwan & Tsang Choh Lam. Saw them only in the 2nd sub-movie "Tigress"

Yee Kwan (2), Ling Hon, Gam Kwan & Tsang Choh lam were listed twice.
Perhap, they shd be combine like Bolo Yeung Sze with two roles.

Can anyone confirm and update? Thanks. :D

I did the cast update weeks ago and separated the cast in the three episodes. Gam Gwan, Tsang Choh-Lam and Ling Hon are also in the first story, but only in very small roles in the background.

I liked it the way that all actors are credited separate for every episode. I think we should separate also Bolo's roles.

But if my opinion is overruled (is that the right word?) with other opinions I change the cast list.

If we separate each role of an actor in the same movie (maybe the title of the movie can appear 4 or 6 times in the same filmography of the actor) his filmography will be confusing and misleading.

My point is that it is a clear cast list with the division of the cast in the three "mini-movies" and a in my opinion slightly confusing cast list if we combine the roles. Now you can see (with the exception of Bolo) the cast for each episode one by one and that looks good for me.
With the notes for the episodes in the role names I find it not confusing if a movie is twice in a filmography.

But if two editors disagree I reluctantly change the cast list next week. I don't think you change your opinions.

I hope I used always the right words (my English vocabulary is sometimes limited and I hope it sounds not harsh in a few places).

Can't say that I like the method of listing an actor twice (or more) in the cast of the same movie, even though it is a collection of several stories, can get a bit crowded as Calros mentions.
I can see why you would want to do it though, I'm just of a different opinion.
