This movie was entitled in Thailand (and maybe some other countries) Killer Butterflies. I used to own the Thai VHS once but dumped it long ago. I'm not sure if this should be added as an alias.

No, I don't think this movie has any conjunction with Thailand respective its production.

Killer Butterflies is just the English title provided beside the Thai and Chinese titles on the Thai VHS release. To me, it appears to be sort of an export title for this movie. I don't know of any other non-Chinese releases of this flick I'm afraid so that's the only source. But I don't think they made this English title up in Thailand on their own.
