I also think it is the same person. I know a few movies with the name listed as make up artist and Fong Yuen appearing as actor. It is not unusual that crew members playing supporting roles/bit parts in movies they working on.

A friend of me (a long-time HK movie expert) also say it is the same person (and if I remember it correctly that he is the father of the actor Chin Feng).

I remember another editor who said he thinks they are two dífferent persons in that forum.

My vote: merge.

If I read 2 "merge" votes more and none "non-merge" votes, I will merge them in 15 days.

Fang Yuen

My 2 cents. This talented Bon Viviant was a longtime fixture to the Shaws organization in his day both known for making-up the Shaw goddesses to look great on camera AND stealing scenes in some classic films:

1. The unforgettable face of the old model boatmaker in "My Dream Boat"s credit sequence with Tsin Ting's melancholy tune.

2. The old patient who wants to get a circumcision from his Doctor (Chiang Nan) in Li Han Hsiang's "Love Swindlers" because 'life begins at 70'.

3. The old husband/slave being the trussed up hovering over the bed of S&M madam Sha (Helen Hsia) in Li Han Hsiang's "Tales of Two Forbidden Cities"

Pretty sure they're one in the same guys.

In "Blue Skies" (updated cast list today) Fong Yuen appears as make up artist of the musicial troupe! Another good point to say yes to the merge.

Well I think this is the ultimate proof. If nobody stops me in 15 days I will merge them.
