The aspect ratio doesn't seem to be right on these pics... when capturing from an anamorphic DVD you need to resize the image before you do any cropping - I usually resize an anamorphic NTSC capture to 800 x 450, then do an "autocrop" to remove black bars, then go through each image by hand cropping portraits or group shots etc. I use a free program called XNView for this & conversion to jpg - it's very good for batch operations like resizing and converting formats (you can save a script that does Resize, Autocrop, Convert to JPG in one go )
