I very appriciate Your input finding extras who only have small cameos
for sometimes one second. You have a very good memory and lots of patience too. I admire it - but: out there are many users who often think:
"really that actor was in the movie - where ?" (Even if they know him)
just calling them extra is easy but it won't help the other people finding
them if they really want to check it. Deadly Hero has 25 extras + 5 heroes
Just I had this problem many times - I won't be the only one I think....
Not everybody is so focused and good in recognizing actors like You.
Don't be angry - say again: I appriciate Your input. Just now I was in the mood to create screenshots from the "Deadly Duo" Celestial DVD and once I started I couldn't stop (over 300 !!). OK the movie has a huge cast.
So I decided for myself to update some actors with better descriptons.
Sadly I am no editor - and maybe the editors think I am kind of crazy..?
I don't know if anybody like to make those changes. I would have even make more but some extras I can't recognize as well as Michael -

And please EVERYBODY who is Editor please bear something in mind !!

Anybody knows the chinese chairman Tung or Ping ? No ? Never ?
Or the famous Kung Fu Actor Long or the young actress Yi ? Not ? Why ??

Cause this are not their family names !!!

MAO Ze Dong's Family Name is MAO of course - everybody knows that
DENG Xiao Ping's Family Name is DENG (No need to say that I guess)
The Famous Actor is LI XIAO LONG = Bruce Lee His Family name was LI
And the Young Actress is ZHANG Zi Yi who's family Name is ZHANG still...
Do I really need to give more Examples?? FAMILY NAME COMES FIRST

WHY some editor's (example: Deadly Duo or One-Armed Swordsman)
write such things like
Man Tien Kuei (Emperor's man) = Family Name is MAN right ????

and then follows River Dragon (Kuei's fighter) It is MAN's fighter for sure

About your first request: you are right.

About your second request:
At first, almost all movie databases (as IMDb) noted extras as "extra" or "bit part". So HKMDb editors did the same thing.

Later several "specialized" editors as Mr. Bruce, Mr. Kistner or Mr. Dleedlee found more useful specify the role of the extra, so they changed the role name, but this is a long work and there are still many movies without "specify".
