Pls merge two records

Please move the movies of 7417 into the record of 7207<br>Ma Lei A (Maria Cordero)<br><br>I'm making this request because changing the movies over one by one is incredibly labour intensive. Last time I merge a duplicated actor record with only 7 movies, it took 35 minutes and about 150 hits.<br><br>However, I'm not advocating that merge-record access be given to editors. The damage of an incorrect merge could well be too hard to undo.<br><br>Incidentally, record 7417 was cantones-ized as "Lut" Lei A. Is Lut a sort-of "x", which is used when the sound isn't known ? It seems to be appearing at random.<br><br>

Ta.<br><br>There seem to be a few (maybe more ?) duplicated records. I'm sure you guys'll be doing some sort of de-duping run eventually, but is there a point in doing them on a regular basis, say every month or so ?<br><br>

Point taken. What I was inferring was to write a routine which could detect, say, all multiple instances of the same big5 name, and publish them as a list.<br>I certainly agree that no automatic process should merge tem, as there are a number of instances where 2 or more people have the same name<br>e.g.<br>Director/Writer/Actor Che Kirk Wong and actor Victor Wong.<br><br>Perhaps this could be a low-priority project for later on.<br><br>In the meantime, I'll post 'em as I notice 'em.<br><br>
