Lots of mainland actors here: I've got the first three main actors from the credits, but after that there are certainly some questions, especially with Chiu Chi-Gong (not sure if she is in the movie). If someone could translate the character names from this document, it could certainly go a long way to putting names to pictures.
Can anyone help?

Also, if there are major objections to the first screen shot, it can be removed. Of course, it's meaning in Buddhism is as a good luck symbol, but I thought it was an interesting image from the film - one that can identify it if a person might have seen it before.

Another WOW

Updated all characters with their roles. One question...
I could not find 張華 (飾窮家女小花), (Zhang Hua (as Poor girl Xiaohua)) in the cast list. The only left over I had was 張偉明. Is that an alias or should 張華 be added to the cast?

I was able to add some IDs to pictures: Gwok Leung , Chui Ngai and Xiao Hong-Fu.

Chiu Cheung-Gwan is listed as an action director.


The first picture below is of one of the Shaolin monks that performs a fantastic drunken sword form (one of Cheung-Gwan's specialties). The second is of a fighter in the tournament (who is definitely a highly trained martial artist).


Does anyone think this is him? (either (or both?) pictures)

From the document, I don't see 張偉明, but there's a 蔣偉明 (飾覺廣 Jiang Weiming as Jueguang) which pronounced quite closely to 張偉明 in Cantonese & Mandarin.

Quite possible, but I'm certainly no authority on characters or their pronunciation.

I believe I already had the 蔣偉明 set. I think the issue is the name of the actress playing the poor girl that doesn't appear in the cast list. If no one objects, I will add 張華 as a new actor and place her in the cast with the ID of Zhang Hua and the character name Xiaohua.

Another quick question... where did the "poor girl" part come from? I don't see that on that cast sheet image.
