Alias delete wish

I think this alias here

http://hkmdb.com/db/movies/view.mhtml?id=6391

makes no sense, just with a blank cut into "China Town".
Can also not see where it comes from nor does it show
a very different title making any practical use.

If anybody knows, please let me know ...
(a VHS, an onscreen English title etc.)

I would delete it next if nobody complains ...

Did you check the credit images? New York China Town is the actual title on the print, which should be the primary source.

I found the reason!

And giving me more reason to plead for specifying and being precise,
encouraging all editors to make more use of the "Alias", as this is a flexible
window that you can put text in.

The reason was the orignal credits, they show a wrong blank between
"China" and "Town". Wrong English happens quite a lot, as you all
know, on Chinese posters.

The original credits where uploaded, but I normally or not yet
have always on look into this section. (If the entry would have done
with that clue, no irritation would have been come up.)

The misspelling is also on the German VHS cover, I uploaded that, too,
with alias-text explaining that. – It is no correct German, should have
been "Chinatown" back then on the video box ...

Both "Chinatown" and "China town" are correct English usage. I suppose you could call this particular title incorrect only because the actual neighborhood in NYC is called Chinatown (one word.) It is not a "misspelling" either way. Anyway, I don't understand why you blame the other editors. It was you who failed to check the credits before making this thread. It's hardly somebody else's fault.

There are mistakes from time to time here,
and if someone questions them, you can call it a blaming.
But you mustn't.

It is not up me to prove an entry being right
or spending time to find the reason if I wonder about it.
I can ask and dare to ask. And I may fail and make a
mistake, too.

About my entries anybody can find and see the reason for them
in the image gallery. Or one can ask me. I don't feel blamed
or anything.
________

I cannot find any "China town" on English websites.

Every internet site about Chinatown in San Francisco or New York
says: "Chinatown". And the movie is about the Chinatown of
New York. – And it is on the poster likewise, for a good reason,
I would say.
