Merge: Queen of the Stage

The HKFA's entry for this film says:
"Jeanette Lin Tsui's first Cantonese film co-starring with Cheung Ying for the first time. The Mandarin version "Marriage affairs" was released in Singapore and Thailand in May 1955, and in Hong Kong in February 1958."
So, it would seem that this film: http://hkmdb.com/db/movies/view.mhtml?id=2606 is actually just a Mandarin dub of Queen of the Stage that was released separately. Ads for the Singaporean release (which was in the first half of 1956 and not May 1955 unless I missed something) show a cast listing identical to Queen of the Stage.
