If noone objects in 15 days I'll delete that VCD cover of "Brave Young Girls" (1990) - http://hkmdb.com/db/movies/image_detail ... ay_set=eng
This is a Mainland bootleg release, none of the images is from the movie, and it doesn't give any new information.

PS. Portrait gallery for this movie is coming soon

Personally, I think it's alright to keep the image. The information it provides is that there was a release of this movie with that cover.

I think this image should be deleted: http://hkmdb.com/db/movies/image_detail ... _id=156458
Compared to the other two images of the same poster, the quality isn't very good.

These two images should be deleted. That's actually the logo of German distributor Jugendfilm, and the 'Jacky Film' text is just something added by that 'Wu Tang Collection' YouTube channel. Did this company ever even exist?

Hi there,

just saw this here, and don't know exactly this individual case here
and from which the company screenshot – a company I never heard of –
especially not referring to these two movies - comes from.

THE CHINESE DRAGON is a Fortuna production for sure, around the same
time as TORMENTOR was done for the same company, and REVENGE IS
SWEET ... I always look on the poster (here it is very high resoluted
upload). And if I have the movie in an subtl. version, I will have a look
into it too, into the the most original version.

I do not have that movie in the house right now, I externalized
parts of my collection, so I cannot check on this directly.

As my expert friend from England since long, Toby Russell just
re-mailed me (an alternate way how I research, just asking him
if he ever heard of this or that as another source; especially here
he had business with the Wu Tangs, as I remember it), this "Jacky Film" logo
is made up! – Yes, maybe on the basis of the German "Jugendfilm-Verleih",
an intro you not all too often find with some DVDs, congrats to the
Wu Tangs!)

What I want to say here, pleading for and aiming at with this reply (and what
about I will do some forum posts soon, having become a member here for the
sake of less mistakes) ... PLEASE all editors do your entries with care, and comment
them as precisely as possible from where something came from! Name and comment
your sources with every upload, if an image upload does not speak for itself.

Now we have a time-eating-up mini-problem here, assuming what this
"Jacky Film" came from, on which DVD it was shown etc. letting
other members do research work for a simple entry of ... "unawareness".
And an entry which lacks an experts' instinct what is possible and what
not. – "Jacky" ... that name was near to inexistence in the genre
before NEW FIST OF FURY. Which Jacky could have this been,
and what relation should there have been to the two mentioned
movies? So think twice, as everybody should sense that as a
marketing trick intro from our modern DVD era.

So, I would appreciate not doing such an irritating entry instead
of blindly tipping in something (from a rather unoriginal source)
that is rather suspicious. To delete a mistake afterwards is a bigger
problem regarding time and efforts in comparison to not tipping it in
at all. So, as our human condition goes: The one who tipped it
in must have had a good reason. – OR: you simply define please
the exact source where you have it from with some line below the image!

... Which I experience as a problem in general here,
long before becoming a new member now. And I dare to
criticize it already:

Many entries here, especially "aliases", are like "blind-believe-it-or-not"
data, be it the aliases for persons (in which credits was some
actor spelled the heck like this alias number 16?) or with aliases for
movies (which of the many bootleg DVDs named the movie like this?).

Please really research (and comment it) before doing an entry, or show it
with a "physical" proof like an upload of an image of an once existing VHS
for instance)! Some hint must be, and be it just a text comment and not
an image. – I think this is not a race about who does the most entries,
better do them with care.

I am sure, as a new member, I am under some kind of being watched
for what I upload at the moment.

But please be sure that I am really aware of what I am doing
as a new member, and at the moment my goal is to upload proof
for aliases like US posters, lobbies with different alternative titles.

I don't and won't do things here just without a good
reason, and all my entries are a well-researched ones,
not just infos from the internet, that jungle of unknowledge,
for which you need to have instinct and experience.

If you have questions, feel free to contact me for this or that
regarding my entries or uploads. Please do it directly, as I do
not look into the forum so regularly, as this is a matter of
time that I would like to save for other things. If you contact
me directly, I can comment whatever it is directly and
immediately.

About proof, when it is needed and when not
really – at least in my opinion -, I will expose my thoughts
soon in the forum.

Best regards from Gemany,
many thanks for letting me register as
a member and editor – it is great fun to
support this website project here,
with knowledge, love and passion!

Oliver

This image should be deleted: https://hkmdb.com/db/people/image_detai ... ay_set=eng
It shows designer Ikko Tanaka (see HERE), not director Shigeo Tanaka.

This image also needs deleting since it is watermarked: https://hkmdb.com/db/movies/image_detai ... ay_set=eng

The credit captures here need to be deleted since they are watermarked: https://hkmdb.com/db/movies/credits.mht ... ay_set=eng
They are from a different movie anyway. (古厝夜, a retitle of The Old Lock vs 古厝夜 - The Tale of Old House)

Thanks! No need to apologize, I'm not the chief image editor. I just drop them in this thread when I see them.

Since I'm posting here already, here are some more watermarked images to delete:

This image is not watermarked but it's the poster for one of the original Japanese Masked Rider movies, not the Taiwanese movie in our DB: https://hkmdb.com/db/movies/image_detai ... ay_set=eng
Please delete.
