Young Cheung Chi-Gwong has a big role in this movie (I would say, 2nd or 3rd leading role).
I couldn't find his name in credits. His first movie in our DB is from 1989 and his first TVB series is from 1991.
So maybe now, or back then he was using stage name (or now he's using a stage name), and under his name he is credited in "Hired guns". Maybe editor who knows Chinese can do a small research of his biography or stage names on other sites?

I'm pretty sure, it's him, although there are no other sources stating this, and he is probably credited by other name.

The bios I find say that he began his career as a singer-songwriter in the mid 80's after being invited on stage by George Lam in 1985 - he had mimiced him in jingles, before joining TVB and switching to TV/ film in the late 80's/early 90's. So him having a main role in 1981 seems unlikely to me. Especially if he was an asst. director in 1983. Then discovered in 1985, starting over in 1989-90's? Seems implausible.
EXCEPT, for this:
He worked as unskilled laborer in a studio, going to night school and learning English from watching western films. And then,
???????? ?????????? ????????????
It mentions that he was an asst. director for an independent film that no one even knows about (!) This might be the link to him and to Chung Ngai-Nam and the 1983 Superstar. So, after convincing myself it couldn't be, I think it is him.

The credits I uploaded are from the same VCD, which cover I uploaded, and VCD cover also lists "Film city distribution limited"
I can't read the credits, so maybe both - distribution and production company?

Actually I have full credits for most of the IFD movies I added. The thing is the names in these credits very often are westernised and it is difficult to know, what are the real names of crew members. Speaking of cast - I decided to add only the actors we know and identified, because sometimes there are fictional names in credits of IFD and Filmark movies.
