Synopsis Wu Lai-yee leaves her familiar terrain of the village to help raise the money needed for her husband Ng Kwun-hung to start a chicken farm, but an accident leaves her hospitalised in the city. Also admitted to the same hospital are the car accident victims, the unruly heiress Mary Yip and her fiancé George Cheng. Regaining consciousness but suffering an episode of amnesia, Mary drifts off, alone. Her lookalike Wu is received home by Mary’s mother for further treatment. Meanwhile an anxious Ng arrives at the city and takes Mary home, mistaking her for his long-gone wife. The woman slowly regains her memory while George also realises his blunder and receives his fiancée home. The Ngs return to the village. It suddenly dawns on George that, having been granted a god-sent encounter with the virtuous and capable Wu, he cannot take a spoiled brat as his wife. George chooses to leave on the wedding day.
